I am back! Things have happened! Stuff has been made! I just haven't been blogging about it. But, let's fix that again.
Things have been very busy with work -- when I come home, I need a small project that isn't too intensive. So lately, I've been making a lot of these little mini art books from my 6x6 size scrap paper pads. (I have a small ton of these kicking around -- I'm sure you do too.) These are a great way to use up some of those cute little bits of ephemera or bits of paper that you have kicking around that you just can't bear to throw away. Waste not, want not.
I make my books from four or five sheets of scrapbook paper. Folded in half, you now have pages that are 3" wide. With a hole puncher, I punch three holes along the fold -- one about an inch away from the end, one in the middle, one about an inch from the opposite end. After arranging the papers in the order I want them to be in, I choose some sort of string/yarn/fun fiber for my binding. Then I bind them with the simplest saddle stitch I can muster.
After that, you just to to town using up all those little tiny things you've been hoarding. This is the project they've all been waiting for!
I made this particular book for someone in a Craftster swap a bit ago -- but I really love all the papers here. I'll share some more of these soon!
If you end up making a little art book for yourself, let me know! I'd love to see it.
